Hamilton services is a motorway service station near the town of Hamilton, Scotland. The service station is located next to the M74 motorway between junctions 6 and 5 and may be accessed in the northbound direction only - its southbound counterpart between junctions 4 and 5 is Bothwell services. It is owned by Roadchef.
History
The site was opened in September 1975 by the 'lorry driver of the year', Ian Mackie, of 14 Tweedsmuir Road, Perth.[1] The site cost £600,000.
