Fountain to a Rose was a historic fountain in Portland, Oregon located in Darcelle XV Plaza (formerly O'Bryant Square). It was removed in 2023 as part of the park's redevelopment.
Description and history
Built in 1973, the fountain is bronze and in the shape of a rose. It is surrounded by 250 rose bushes and other plants. An inscription says "May you find peace in this garden." The fountain was made possible through a $28,000 bequest from Donald Card Sloan, who was a former prime minister of the Royal Rosarians.[1]
In 2023, as part of the park's redevelopment, the fountain was removed.
