Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi is CEO of Masdar.[1]

Al Ramahi earned a BA in business administration and finance from the University of Evansville in the United States.[2] He began working as Head of Internal Audit and Compliance at Masdar in 2008, during which time he instituted the firm's enterprise risk management.[3] He was promoted to Director of Corporate Services and Financial Affairs in March 2011, CFO in 2012, and COO in 2013.[4] In 2016, he was promoted to an Emirati CEO of Masdar,[5] and developed Masdar into a burgeoning international renewable energy company.[6]

In 2020, Al Ramahi initiated a sustainable real estate investment fund in the UAE..[7] He managed Masdar's growing renewable energy portfolio[4] as it expanded across the MENA region, the UK, the US, Spain, Serbia, the Pacific Islands and the Caribbean[3]

Al Ramahi is a member of the Board of Directors of Masdar and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Masdar Investment Committee.[8] He is a member of the Board of Directors of Shuaa Energy Company and Samruk-Kazyna,[9] and a member of the French Business Group CCI, the Australian Business Group, the US-UAE Business Council, and the Sustainable Markets Initiative Taskforce for Energy Transition.[10]

He was listed by Forbes as one the most powerful CEOS in the Middle East in 2022 and in 2023, received an honorary fellowship from the Energy Institute.[11]
