Justin R. Begnaud is an American film producer, and an American television producer[1]
Biography
Originally from Kansas City, MO, Justin Begnaud is an independent film, television and digital media producer. He has worked on EMMY Award winning television series[2], and Cannes Lion award winning advertising campaigns.[3] He has been nominated for multiple industry awards including a Gotham Award, and an Independent Spirit Award.[4] Begnaud has been invited to speak on industry panels[5], and present at entertainment related conferences all over the world - including China,[6] Brazil[7] Germany, France, Canada, Austin, Las Vegas, New York and Beverly Hills. Begnaud was invited as a fellow to the Cannes Producers Network, the Berlinale/ European Film Market, the Trans-Atlantic Partners Co-Production Market, as well as Film Independent's Producing Lab.[8] He is also a film fellow with the Sundance Institute's Catalyst Initiative.
Begnaud produced TV documentaries and non-fiction series for The History Channel, MTV, MTV Sports, VH1, A&E, AMC Networks, NFL Films, NBC Sports, USA Sports, and managed AT&T's Content Studio while living in New York.
After moving to Los Angeles, Begnaud became the Director of Production for Film Finances, Inc., the world-wide leader in film & television completion guarantees. He subsequently joined the tax credit financier, and senior debt lender, Grosvenor Park Media as the Vice President of Business Development & Production Finance based in Los Angeles. Independently, his films have premiered at Sundance, SXSW, Telluride, Tribeca, BFI/ London, Toronto, and Los Angeles Film Festivals, among others. He has produced films for Netflix, Amazon Prime, MGM/Orion, Open Road, Fox Searchlight, and multiple international distributors. Begnaud began his film career working for Scott Rudin Productions, and later Focus Features International.
Begnaud holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from UCLA's Graduate School of Theater, Film & Television, and a Master of Science degree in Non-profit Administration and Fundraising Management from Columbia University in the City of New York. He graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and a Bachelor of Industrial Design. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the International Film & Television Alliance, and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
