Just in case anyone calls by, this is my rationale for this page and the supporting lists.
I found it very hard to find a ready list of Grade I listed buildings for a flickr project and compiled my own, largely indirectly from Images of England. I have since found that there are some county lists on here, which use a template. These pages are generally preferable to my lists because they contain more information. However, they do combine several listed sites, which may not suit all purposes and they are not indexed.
Therefore I propose to reformat my research into lists for all the counties not separately covered, with the longer term aim of converting them to the template. I will index these to this page, and the existing pages as I find them. I will then add notes to the existing pages so that each building can be determined. Finally, I will revisit the links to try and improve the hit rate, and link to the 'place' if there is no page for the building.Mark Wheaver (talk) 20:42, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
