I understand that this category is populated by code in {{IMSLP}}. However, I suspect there are quite a few links to IMSLP without using that template, either by URL (//imslp.org/) or by its shortcut (scores:). BTW, has the introduction of this tracking category anything to do with the current unavailability of IMSLP? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 13:38, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Michael Bednarek: Yes, that is true that there is no way to track all links to imslp.org/petruccilibrary.org using this template but it's still useful and it's handy for helping to migrate links to the template for exactly this reason. It's nice to have interwiki links and templates for resources like this in case they change URIs. As far as IMSLP being down, I am confused--it is not down for me and I have checked it for the past several days. The reason I made this is because I just made an account there and I figured that community may find it handy to see how many thousands of times we are interlinked. —Justin (koavf)TCM 01:34, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I only wanted to make sure that it is understood that this category will not catch all links to IMSLP. // IMSLP must have been down only briefly – I can see it now; one of those most unlikely coincidences. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:52, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Michael Bednarek: Yes, that's correct. But IMSLP shouldn't be used as a reference so basically every instance should be an external link using this template anyway. —Justin (koavf)TCM 22:34, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
