Vatakara area contains the villages, little towns and organizations around Vatakara, Vadagara or Badagara variously spelt by the locals. The locality lies in Kozhikode district of Kerala province in India. It is bordered on the north by Kannur district and by Koyilandy area on the south. The eastern side is called Kuttiady area.
