This category is for the listing of professional (and notable amateur) players of all variants of cue sports, such as pocket billiards (including pool and snooker), and carom billiards (including three-cushion, etc.), who specialize in or are particularly notable for their trick shot skills.
Typical entries are:
- Trick shot competition pros
- Entertainers renowned for their trick shot performances
- Pool and snooker pros with sideline careers (regular paid work) as trick shot demo performers
Entries to not add to this category:
- Players of artistic billiards or artistic pool; these should be in their own subcategories under this category and the appropriate Category:Cue sports players category (carom and pool, respectively).
- Players notable in some cue sports discipline who are known to be able to do some trick shots but are not notable as trick shot artists
Artistes who do trick shots in other disciplines (e.g. basketball, archery, shooting sports, whipcracking, darts, tennis, bowling and golf, all of which have used this term) should not be listed here, but in a more appropriate category (e.g. a "Category:Basketball trick shot artists", which should not be a subcategory of this cue-sports-specific category, which can be renamed if necessary and an overarching category for all of them created at this category name.).
The main article for this category is Trick shot.
