Television series as a concept is a sub-topic of television program; as noted at Television show#Seasons/series, "a set of episodes produced by a television series varies from country to country." Note that sub-categories of Category:Television shows by topic can contain either series articles or series sub-categories; in general, it will be preferable to not have 'series articles' place directly in 'shows categories', but rather have them included in 'series sub-categories'.
