Argentina

Sardinia

Hi guys, the map is really cool but I think it would benefit a great deal from a few numbers extrapolated from a specific study on lactase persistence (Y. Itan, B.L. Jones, C.J. Ingram, D.M. Swallow, M.G. Thomas; A worldwide correlation of lactase persistence phenotype and genotypes, BMC Evolutionary Biology, 10 (1) (2010), pp.10-36); it appears that among the Sardinians, who also form a genetic isolate in Europe, the value of non-persistence lactase increases up to 85%. On average, as confirmed by a 2007 research by the Brotzu, 8 out of ten Sardinians are lactose intolerant. It might therefore be argued that Sardinia should display a different colour, the bluest one.Dk1919 (talk) 01:26, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
