I took this picture while standing on a little bluff situated about 40 feet above the Okanagan River & about 10 feet below Green Mountain Road, which runs alongside the river here. This bluff is about 100 feet south of the dam & is reached by climbing down a steep, crumbly, rocky slope from the road above. I got some advice: If you are not good at climbing down crumbly, steep slopes than don’t try to reach this spot. If you miss or go too far & slide off the other end you will fall about 40 feet straight into the Okanagan River below. A fall here probably wouldn’t be fatal but it would be crippling. From this spot though, you can look upriver to the dam & if you look directly down from here you can see the Okanagan River as it bubbles through a series of small rapids before calming down again. It is a great little spot; it just isn’t for everyone. Use caution when climbing here. AndrewEnns (talk) 17:51, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
