The Yak-15 was essentially a Yak-3 airframe fitted with a copy of the Junkers Jumo 004 jet engine.
It was one of only two aircraft types to be successfully converted from piston to jet power, the other being the Saab J-21,
The NATO codename for the type was 'Feather'.
280 were built and this is the only known survivor.
It's msn has been suggested as being '31007', but this is unconfirmed.
