English: Arms of Verney of Compton Verney, Warwickshire: Gules, three crosses recerclée (voided througout) or a chief vair ermine and ermines (Debrett's Peerage, 1968, p.1156). The crosses although not blazoned in this source voided are generally depicted as such on the family's bookplates, etc. Visitation of Warks, 1619, Verney arms blazoned: Argent, three crosses moline voided throughout gules a chief vairy sable and ermine, with tinctures transposed.
