Summary

Description
English: Looking north more or less along the line of Fairview Avenue East from East Roanoke Street, Eastlake, Seattle, Washington. This area represents something of a break in what is now known as the Cheshiahud Lake Union Loop for pedestrians and bicycles. There is a moderately good connection just a bit higher up on Yale Ave East between Roanoke and Edgar Streets, but then people are directed considerably higher to a rather treacherous alley to go from East Edgar Street to East Hamlin Street. Despite various efforts by local activists, there has been no direct connection from Fairview Avenue East to East Edgar Street since 1957. The situation is detailed at https://eastlakeseattle.org/?page=shorelinewalkwaygap.
