Summary

Description Princess Ruth Keʻelikōlani (1826-1883), was a major heir to the Kamehameha Dynasty, founder of the Kingdom of Hawaii. She served as Governor of the island of Hawai'i and owned about 9% of the land at the time of her death. Much of her estate is now the endowment of the Kamehameha Schools.
