English: Pinger, Acoustic deterrent device.
Français : Pinger émetteur étanche d'impulsions sonores assez fortes pour repousser les cétacés (Marsouins et dauphins principalement) hors de la zone de risque où ils risquent d'être pris dans un filet de pêche (filet maillant, chalut..). Le "pinger" comprend une batterie noyée dans la résine, généralement non rechargeable.
