English: This photograph of an old Kannada inscription (1309 AD) was taken by me on the Hemakuta hill temple complex at Hampi, a UNESCO world heritage site in the Bellary district of Karnataka state, India . The inscription is ascribed to King Kampili Raya of the tiny Kingdom of Kampili (modern Bellary district)
