DescriptionHANGING RICE.jpg
English: When you come to Cebu, you will see this kind of weaving. We call it "Puso" or best known in our english term as Hanging Rice. The term hanging comes up as the vendors hang this in their store. The woven leaves are actually young coconut leaves formed into like a diamond shape, leave an opening at the top for the rice to fill in. The rice is filled up to the middle portion only so to allow space for the rice when cooked.
They have a big pot of boiling water, they put that till cooked. They hang it dry and then ready for delivery to smaller store at the side road. Because Filipinos loved to eat rice, you can easily buy this Hanging Rice and paired with any food you like.
When you come here, you just say you want to eat Hanging Rice or Puso.
