Summary
DescriptionDabora Alek, right, has waited two hours to collect water (12451605083).jpg
Oxfam is helping to provide 1 million litres of water each day in Mingkamen, but the demand is such that people must wait up to two hours in line to fill their buckets. Grandmother Dabora Alek has waited two hours to fill her jerry can full of water for her family.
"The water is clean, but we have to wait too long. The sun is hot and we don't have a choice. Sometimes fights break out at the water point because everyone is waiting so long. The water monitors keep the peace but I wish there were more water points."
