Deutsch: Das vordere Feld zeigt mit dem silbernen Zickzackbalken das Stammwappen der Herren von Murach. Endres Jörg von Murach, der Inhaber der Herrschaft Winklarn, verlieh dem Markt auf dessen Bitten hin 1577 das Siegelrecht und zugleich ein Wappen. Der Zeitpunkt der Markterhebung ist unbekannt, Winklarn hatte wohl schon im 15. Jahrhundert Marktfunktionen. Das Winkelmaß, wohl eine Anspielung auf den Ortsnamen, soll der Markt schon in der zweiten Hälfte des 16. Jahrhunderts �über Menschengedenken� als Wappenbild verwendet haben. Das Kleemotiv ist häufig in Dorfsiegeln zu finden. Der Fuchs stellt als redendes Bild eine Verbindung zum Geschlecht der Fuchs (von Wallburg) her. Diese Deutung wurde von der heraldischen Literatur bisher übersehen. Thomas Fuchs gelang es seit Anfang des 16. Jahrhunderts, mit den Herrschaften Reichenstein-Schönsee und Winklarn ein ausgedehntes geschlossenes Territorium an der Grenze zu Böhmen aufzubauen; sein Nachfolger Hanns Fuchs verlieh den Bürgern von Winklarn 1544 und 1564 wichtige Privilegien. Auf dessen Schwiegersohn Endres Jörg von Murach folgte mit Hans Christoph wieder ein Fuchs als Herrschaftsinhaber, der dem Markt 1578 weitere Zugeständnisse machte. Das Winklarner Wappen symbolisiert somit auch die familiäre Verbindung der Muracher mit den Fuchs im 16. Jahrhundert, wobei der Fuchs das Winkelmaß und damit Winklarn in der Hand hält. |
