English: 81st Fighter-Bomber Squadron - North American F-86F-30-NA Sabre - 52-4661; Hahn AB (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany) Aug 1953 - 1956. Deployed to Giebelstadt AB , near Würzburg, Bavaria/Germany during 1953 - 1956.
Deutsch: Zwischen 1951, bzw. 1953 und 1958 waren mehrere der in Deutschland, Frankreich, Holland und Großbritannien stationierten Fighter Interceptor Wings (FIWs) , Tactical Fighter Wings (TFWs) und Fighter Bomber Groups/Wings (FBGs/FBWs) der USAFE mit North American F-86A, F-86F oder F-86H „Sabre“ ausgerüstet worden. Vor allem die in Rheinland-Pfalz und in Toul-Rosieres in Frankreich stationierten F-86F und H besuchten Giebelstadt AB oftmals auf Ausbildungsflügen, um dort zwischenzulanden u/o für von Giebelstadt ausgehende, mehrtägige Orientierungs- und Waffentrainingsflüge. Fotographisch festgehalten wurden seit der Stationierung der 50th FBG (Fighter Bomber Group) in Hahn AB (Rheinland-Pfalz) am 10. Aug. 1953 die nach Giebelstadt entsandten F-86F „Sabre“ der 81st FBS (Fighter Bomber Squadron), u. a. im Anflug auf die Landebahn des Flugplatzes an der B19, veröffentlicht in der „Main-Post“ in Würzburg 2016. Des Weiteren auf der priv. Hompage http://www.c-and-e-museum.org/Pinetreeline/giebelstadt/gieb-photos/gieb-53.html die F-86F-30-NA mit der Buzz Number FU-725, Serial Number s/n 52-4725 der 81st Fighter Bomber Sqaudron in der Nähe der Kommandantur in Giebelstadt AB, im Sommer 1953. Das Farbfoto (Flugbild) zeigt beispielhaft eine F-86F-30-NA Sabre der 81st FBS, 50th FBG mit der Buzz Number FU-661, Serial Number s/n 52-4661 aus Hahn AB zwischen 1953 und 1956 . (Die auffälligen, gelben Bandmarkierungen auf dem Mittelrumpf und an den Tragflächenenden erinnern an den Einsatz von F-86-Squadrons der USAF während des Korea-Konflikts von 1950 bis 1953; die gelbe Bandmarkierung auf dem Seitenleitwerk, sowie auf dem Rumpfbug mit schwarzen Sternchen, kennzeichnen mit der Staffelfarbe „Gelb“ die 81st FBS; zusätzlich wurde auf dem oberen Drittel des Seitenleitwerks das Emblem dieser Staffel geführt). |
