English: 500 Jefferson was the first building in Cullen Center to be developed. 500 Jefferson, which opened in 1962, has offices of KBR. In addition, at one time Suite 1600 had the Houston Fire Department Records Department and the law firm Lapin & Landa LLP
Cullen Center features pedestrian skybridges, barber shop/hair salon, pizza shop, and full service Post Office. There are 2 floors below grade and storage space is available. Situated on eight city blocks, 14 acres, in downtown Houston, bounded by Calhoun, Brazos, Bell, and Milam streets. The property also features The Whitehall Hotel, with 325 rooms. There is direct auto access from metropolitan and suburban areas by urban thoroughfares and freeway systems. Pedestrians can access Cullen Center buildings from the concourse level skywalks and the downtown tunnel system.
