Description
English: Negative-staining of a T. forsythia whole cell preparation. During adsorption of the cell to the EM grid parts of the cell were flattened so that the cytoplasm was squeezed away and, therefore, the “upper” and “lower” S-layer came into close distance. The inset shows the resulting power spectrum
